DE’ANTHONY THOMAS

Here’s yet another 2014 draft pick that has caused Chiefs fans to wonder why his name may still be on the roster. As a fourth round pick, it’s harder to use the term overrated, but De’Anthony Thomas seems prone to injury and even had a season where he was mysteriously placed on IR.

While the preseason game where he ran for his first ever NFL punt return to the house was pretty exciting, Thomas hasn’t really been all that great since then. Unfortunately that moment may have contributed to him being looked at as overrated since his first flash in the league was a big play that resulted in a touchdown.

While gadget players always bring excitement to the game, they also need to produce results and Thomas’ lack thereof might make him overrated. Tyreek Hill has essentially become what the Chiefs were hoping Thomas would become and that makes him overrated and someday potentially expendable.
