VETERANS THAT MIGHT NOT MAKE THE ROSTER – DE’ANTHONY THOMAS

For years, Chiefs fans have predicted former Oregon standout De’Anthony Thomas to get the shaft, but he’s made the team every time we’ve predicted otherwise. For what it’s worth, Thomas did have a better season last year than he did in 2016.

The 2016 season was where Thomas sort of disappeared and we had little idea as to what happened to him. In 2017, the former fourth round pick had two touchdowns and was used sparingly on special teams as a return man.

Thomas was supposed to be for the Chiefs what Tyreek Hill is now and that’s a legitimate offensive weapon and dangerous return specialist. Thomas is still a fast guy and can make an impact, but the Chiefs haven’t gotten much out of him.

With this being the third straight year that Thomas’ name is coming up in the cut conversations, one would have to think he won’t dodge a bullet again, right? He could be in danger of being let go this offseason.
