The Kansas City Chiefs didn’t have a first round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, but the other three teams in the AFC West did. How did those teams do in round one?

While the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft might not have been as exciting for Kansas City Chiefs fans, they still got to watch what other teams spent their pick on. More specifically, they got to see what their three biggest rivals decided to do in round one.

The Chiefs have won the AFC West the last two years and it’s pretty interesting to think about, but the last three years have seen the Chiefs fighting for the division title with a different team. In 2015, they were neck and neck with the Broncos, 2016 it was with the Raiders, and last year it was close with the Chargers.

That shows how competitive the AFC West is. The 2018 season should still see the Chiefs being the favorite in the West, but it’ll be closer than people think.

Let’s take a look at how the AFC West foes did in round one of the 2018 NFL Draft.
