2018 NFL Draft: KC Kingdom Mock Draft
Denver Broncos – Chris Taylor
Oklahoma. Baker Mayfield. 5. player. 45. . Quarterback
Baker Mayfield is a winner and has had to work for everything he has accomplished. Following his path in college and seeing what he was able to do at Oklahoma under both Bob Stoops and Lincoln Riley, you can’t come away unimpressed. If Mayfield threw footballs on the East or West coast, the whole country would be agreeing with me.
Mayfield shouldn’t have the pressure those that came before him were under. This is a pick for the future. The Broncos are in rebuild mode and Mayfield has the credentials to make the transition go much smoother than any quarterback in this years draft.
Staff Reaction: I really hope the Broncos don’t go this route because Baker Mayfield is the second best quarterback in this draft and could really be the next big thing. It’d be annoying watching him run down the field windmilling his arms around after throwing a last second touchdown to beat the Chiefs. – Leigh Oleszczak
