2018 NFL Draft: KC Kingdom Mock Draft
Cleveland Browns – Scott Steehn
Bradley Chubb will pair well with 2017 first rounder Myles Garrett, potentially giving the Browns a pair of dominating edge rushers. Chubb may be the best overall player in the draft with 26 tackles for loss and ten sacks as a senior. Outstanding speed (4.65) with experience in both odd and event fronts makes this pick a no-brainer.
The Browns got both their quarterback of the future and the best overall player in the draft here. Let’s see if things begin to go in a more positive direction for Cleveland.
Staff Reaction: This is simply a power move for John Dorsey and the Browns. Dorsey has done a magnificent job so far this offseason in providing the players to bring Cleveland back to relevance. With Chubb and Garrett on the other side staring down opposing offensive lines, there is no doubt the Browns have gotten eight times better.
I wouldn’t have been surprised to see Cleveland take Chubb with the first overall pick, but they were fortunate to have arguably the best player in the draft fall to them at number four. The Browns will be eight times better, and they will win no less than eight games in 2018. – Chris Taylor
