2018 NFL Draft: KC Kingdom Mock Draft

Carolina Panthers – Chris Taylor

24. player. 87. . Running Back. LSU. Derrius Guice

The Panthers need to keep adding to their offensive talent and the best running back available at this point is the route they choose to go with. Jonathan Stewart is with the Giants now, so that just leaves Christian McCaffrey as the Panthers’ main running back.

Derrius Guice is someone who could come in and provide instant success at the running back spot. He rushed for 1,251 yards and 11 touchdowns last season at LSU.

Staff Reaction: It’s a bit surprising that the Panthers opted to draft a running back in the first round for the second straight year, but maybe they see Christian McCaffrey becoming more of a receiver. Derrius Guice is worthy of an early selection, but Panthers probably should have gone with a receiver here. – Leigh Oleszczak
