2018 NFL Draft: KC Kingdom Mock Draft

Detroit Lions – Britt Zank

Texas. Connor Williams. 20. player. 50. . Offensive Tackle

Connor Williams is a top tackle in the draft that the Lions would be happy to see drop to them at 20. He has all the attributes to point to a sure fire starting left tackle in the NFL.

The big question mark, and likely reason for his drop, is his health questions. He had a serious knee injury last season that caused him to miss seven games. Reports are he sprained his MCL and ACL and suffered cartilage damage.

If the Lions can clear his medicals, Williams should be the starting left tackle Matt Stafford has needed his whole career.

Staff Reaction: The Lions shore up an area of concern, but have to be really hoping that Connor Williams can stay healthy. This pick could be the definition of a boom or bust pick. – Chris Taylor
