2018 NFL Draft: KC Kingdom Mock Draft

Cleveland Browns – Britt Zank

player. 53. . Quarterback. Wyoming. Josh Allen. 1

The Browns have to take a quarterback with this pick and Josh Allen screams of a John Dorsey guy. Allen is a small school guy with a cannon for an arm, reminiscent of Carson Wentz. His arm talent and athletism combination make him the quarterback with the highest upside in the draft.

Allen’s level of experience and poor accuracy numbers also make him the quarterback with the lowest floor. Dorsey is comfortable enough to know that the reward is worth the risk.

Staff Reaction: Had I been John Dorsey for this pick, I probably would have gone a different route and went with Josh Rosen. Josh Allen didn’t put up good enough stats (1,800+ yards and only 16 touchdowns) in his final year at Wyoming for me to feel comfortable with him being my franchise signal caller, let alone being the number one overall selection. – Leigh Oleszczak
