The Bills are in need of weapons and the best available weapon is Alabama wide receiver Calvin Ridley. Coming from a pro-style offense, Ridley has experience with the whole route tree and can get open on the fly or coming across the middle.
He’s on the shorter side for a wideout and he’s not a jump ball redzone threat, but when a player can run routes as crisp as Ridley does, that guy can get open enough that you don’t need jump balls.
Staff Reaction: I’m a bit surprised not to see the Bills go with a quarterback here, but wide receiver is definitely a big area of need for them so this isn’t a bad pick by any means. – Leigh Oleszczak
