2018 NFL Draft: KC Kingdom Mock Draft

Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Leigh Oleszczak

48. . Cornerback. Louisville. Jaire Alexander. 11. player

After trading back from the seventh overall pick to the 11th overall pick, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers still get a really good player in the form of Jaire Alexander. Alexander would bring a legitimate cornerback to the Bucs and that’s an area where they certainly needed improvement.

Tampa looks to be big time winners in the draft with this trade and landing a top talent corner. They traded just four spots back, still got a legitimate talent, and added a ton of picks, including Miami’s 2019 first rounder. Bucs fans should be happy with how the first round played out.

Staff Reaction: The Bucs made a great move trading down just four spots and getting a bucket full of picks to do it. They still get one of the top corners in the draft for a defense that needs the help.

Jaire Alexander will step in to the starter’s job on day one on the defense and could also bring a spark as a returner. Combine the trade with the solid pick the Bucs get an A for this spot. – Britt Zank
