The 49ers are relevant again, maybe, probably. That’s a good thing for the NFL. That’s a good reason to make this game a night game.
Jimmy Garoppolo looked like a fairly decent option for San Francisco last season. His numbers were similar to Colin Kaepernick’s in many ways, but watching him play made many think that this guy was the future for the 49ers. Going 5-0 as a starter will do that.

The defense got better with the addition of Richard Sherman. The rest of the roster may not jump out at you on paper, but it is filled with quality players in almost every position. The Kansas City Chiefs have had a thing for 49er quarterbacks in the past. Finally, it looks as though they found their man for the next decade at least.
