HUSKERS WHO COULD BE DRAFTED – JOSHUA KALU (SAFETY)

Last, but not least, we come to the Cornhusker most likely to be selected in the 2018 NFL Draft and it’s safety Joshua Kalu. What will work in Kalu’s favor is that he has experience as both a cornerback and as a safety.

Kalu started his time in Lincoln at corner, but was moved to safety a year ago. While his senior season was one of his weaker campaigns, it wasn’t due to the move to safety, but rather a nagging hamstring injury.

If Kalu wants to ensure himself a spot with a team at the end of the preseason, he’ll have to do work on special teams. He’s a good secondary player, but probably won’t earn a job by his safety play alone.

Like I mentioned before, Joshua Kalu should get drafted, but he’ll probably be a late Day 3 selection.

Prediction: 7th Round
