HUSKERS WHO COULD BE DRAFTED – CHRIS JONES (CORNERBACK)

Chris Jones is an interesting Nebraska prospect this year because he missed a good chunk of the 2017 season after getting injured last summer. Before that, Jones had an impressive junior season, recording 37 tackles and picking off three passes. One of those picks went back the other way for a touchdown.

Jones has the size to be a draft-worthy player, but that meniscus injury from nearly a year ago is going to make a lot of teams skeptical of selecting him. His 2017 stats don’t provide enough juice, so teams will probably be forced into watching more of his 2016 film and that is a knock on players right there.

Ultimately, I don’t see Jones getting drafted, but he should wind up in training camp and get a decent shot throughout the summer and in preseason.

Prediction: Undrafted
