Nebraska Football: Huskers who could be selected in 2018 NFL Draft
HUSKERS WHO COULD BE DRAFTED – TANNER LEE (QUARTERBACK)
The most important position in football is easily at quarterback and Nebraska’s quarterback form a season ago opted to forego his senior year and head to the draft. That guy is Tanner Lee, who spent just one season under center for Big Red.
Lee transferred to Nebraska after spending two seasons with Tulane, but took an absolute beating while quarterbacking the Green Wave. He was okay during his lone season in Lincoln, but with Scott Frost coming in, Lee probably made the right decision in heading to the draft rather than sticking it out at Nebraska or transferring once again.
Due to the need at the quarterback position, Tanner Lee should hear his name called at some point over draft weekend. He threw for 3,143 yards and 23 touchdowns last year, but the 16 interceptions are certainly an eye sore.
Even if drafted, Lee will have his work cut out for him in the pros. He’ll likely never be anything more than a backup, but with that cannon of an arm he has, teams will certainly be intrigued by what Tanner Lee has to offer.
