Free agency has come and gone in the NFL and now it’s time to see what the latest KC Chiefs’ 2018 NFL Mock Draft will look like with those additions in mind.

After a busy week of college basketball last week, our 2018 NFL Mock Draft series is back! Like our other mock drafts, this one has its own theme and it revolves around what direction the Kansas City Chiefs will go in now that they have a few free agents joining the 2018 squad.

The most notable additions were that of Sammy Watkins and Anthony Hitchens, which means the Chiefs probably won’t be adding any wide receivers through the draft. Defense wise, yes, they should still add help despite signing Hitchens to a long-term deal.

It’ll be tricky to get top notch talent in this draft, as the Chiefs aren’t on the clock until the 54th pick of the draft. They have no first round pick and it’s unlikely that they’ll trade up to get into round number one.

For this mock draft, I used Fanspeak’s On the Clock simulator, which is a fun tool to play around with if you’re a draft junkie like me. You can pick what team you want to draft for, how many rounds you want to draft, and which big board you want to use.

Obviously I was picking for the Kansas City Chiefs and in all seven rounds, but I went with a different big board this time in NDT Scouting – Kyle Crabbs. Using a different big board means players who seem to be early round locks could slide further back due to that big board not having as high of a rating for said player.

Anyway, let’s get this party started! Who did the Chiefs draft with their first selection?
