Kansas City Chiefs: Money saving ideas

Despite the Kansas City Chiefs having some ok cap space, they could always use more. There are some moves they could still make to save some extra bucks.
Spotrac list the Chiefs current salary cap figure at just under $12 million. That number sounds like a fair amount but it actually puts them in the lower third of the league. This means that while they have some space, they could easily be out bid for any players by most of the league.
For those upset about why the #Chiefs can’t spend freely in free agency to fix all the holes they have. A big portion of the reason resides in Cleveland now.

So while $12 million is a good number and should be enough to work with, they could always use more. The Chiefs still have important roles to fill and need all the cap space they can get to fill those rolls if free agency is the way they want to go. So here are a few easy ways to save some cap space that would not hurt the team.
