1993 NCAA TOURNAMENT

The Huskers rebounded (pun intended) the next season, but didn’t quite get back to their dominant 1991 level. Their 20-11 record and 8-6 conference record was impressive enough to get them into their third straight NCAA Tournament.

Nebraska went 2-3 against ranked teams in 1992-1993, knocking off both Kansas and Kansas State at one point in the season. The Huskers were ranked themselves throughout the season, getting as high as 17th in the nation.

The Big 8 Tournament resulted in an early loss for the Cornhuskers, who lost by just one point to Kansas State. Nebraska faced New Mexico State (the 24th ranked team at the time of the tournament) and lost by double digits.

Third charm was not a charm for Nebraska basketball when it came to partaking in March Madness.
