JAYLIN LINDSEY – DEFENDER

What could ultimately seal Graham Zusi’s fate in Kansas City could be the emergence of soon-to-be 18-year-old Jaylin Lindsey, who very well could make his MLS debut this season. Lindsey probably won’t sniff playing time right away, but he’ll likely get his shot as the season draws on, maybe late summer could be when we finally get a look at him.

Lindsey spent time with the Swope Park Rangers in 2016 and the Sporting Kansas City Academy in 2017. If this kid turns out to be the real deal, then Sporting will have something special in the making for many years to come.

It’s funny… I don’t consider myself to be old, but seeing that Jaylin Lindsey was born in 2000 and could be playing in Major League Soccer this year… Yeah, I feel a bit old, okay? Are there any other MLS players born in or after the year 2000?

All jokes aside, I can’t wait to see what Jaylin Lindsey can do on the field and if he can be a longtime contributor for Sporting Kansas City, then let’s get him out there.
