Kansas City Chiefs: 5 former Chiefs that could return in 2018
By Ben Almquist
#4 Bradley McDougald – S – Seattle Seahawks
Under John Dorsey, the Kansas City Chiefs had a habit of scooping up fringe players from other tams and getting the most out of them. However, the reverse was true of Bradley McDougald as he was stolen away from the Chiefs. Now bringing him back makes a ton of sense for Kansas City.
Bradley McDougald has been getting into the mix in Seattle as they’ve dealt with some injuries. In that time, McDougald has stepped up and shown that he can handle the work. He’s also demonstrated some real versatility, playing both free and strong safety for the Seahawks. It should have him primed for a starting job.
Kansas City has an issue at free safety right now. Ron Parker isn’t a bad player, but he also isn’t getting the job done like the Chiefs need. Parker simply doesn’t make enough plays for us to overlook his horrible tackling. At 30 years old, that isn’t going to get better. KC would not be wrong to make a move.
Bradley McDougald will be looking for a starting job, so the Chiefs would have to make a big decision here. However, this is a decision that could make a lot of sense for Kansas City.
