ROUND 7: PICK 25 (243RD OVERALL) – KENTAVIUS STREET, DL (NC STATE)

Last, but not least, the Kansas City Chiefs select Kentavius Street with their final pick in the draft. At this point in the process, the Chiefs are just trying to find guys they feel can fit somewhere on their roster and Street is someone who has a large frame and could be used somewhere in the defense.

Street spent four seasons at North Carolina State and mostly saw success in his junior and senior seasons. He recorded eight sacks and 68 tackles in those two years.

According to Chase Goodbread of NFL.com, Street made his prescence known on Day 2 of the Shrine Game. The Chargers were talking to the NC State lineman, meaning if the Chiefs don’t get him, they could be seeing him on defense twice a year for who knows how long?

The Chiefs have a lot of work to do with their defense and drafting young guys to fill holes is going to be one of their main points this April. Kentavius Street has already been noticed by some teams and he’ll certainly become more of a known commodity as the weeks pass.
