Former general manager John Dorsey ended the 2017 NFL draft with 6 prospects for the Kansas City Chiefs. Here is how their rookie season panned out.

The 2017 draft was an interesting added element for the Kansas City Chiefs. The draft class hauled in was not a “win now” type of draft class. Just about every player was added to bulk up the future of the franchise, and to add some youth to the roster of the Chiefs.

The Chiefs drafted their franchise quarterback, a scary looking edge rusher, tough running back,  versatile wide receiver, linebacker with a high upside, and a raw safety in 2017. All but one (the running back – you should know his name) sat out a majority of the season, with a small role for the team.

It may be wrong, and a waste of time for me to evaluate with little to work with. But I think it is still well-worth the read. Each prospect has an interesting side to them, and should eventually be fun to watch for Chiefs fans.

So, how did each prospect do in their rookie season? Were any of them busts? Should the Chiefs regret any of their draft choices? Spoiler alert: The Kansas City Chiefs drafted a pretty exciting draft class despite having little production in 2017. Let’s take a look.
