Gehrig the man

Gehrig Dieter was born on February 24th, 1993 in South Bend, Indiana, to Suzy and Derek Dieter. He was a star at Washington High in South Bend, setting a national record for receiving yards in a game with 447.

In three years he totaled 190 receptions, 4,336 yards receiving, including 2,181 yards his senior year. He also scored 49 total touchdowns, including 24 his senior year. He basically collected every state receiving record known.

After committing to SMU in 2012, he transferred to Bowling Green in ’13 and sat out a season per NCAA rules. His first season at Bowling Green was decent, his second season at BG he became a monster. His Junior season was so good in fact that Nick Saban lured him to Alabama as a grad transfer.

Dieter then watched as each round of the 2017 draft ticked by, without a call. Then, sometime after the draft the phone rang. On the other end of that call was the Kansas City Chiefs.
