SIT ‘EM

player. 28. . Wide Receiver. Raiders. Amari Cooper. 3

Remember when everyone thought the Oakland Raiders were going to completely dominate the AFC West? Yeah, that hasn’t happened or even come close to happening.

Oakland travels to Los Angeles this week to play the Chargers and this is a meaningless game for the black and silver. Derek Carr has dropped off tremendously this year and with that, so has Amari Cooper.

Cooper hasn’t been what he was in his first two years and has been banged up a lot this season. While he did score a touchdown last week, he only had three receptions for 66 yards against the Eagles. Hardly what fantasy owners had in mind when they drafted the former Alabama wideout.

Week 17 means a hell of a lot more for the Los Angeles Chargers than it does the Oakland Raiders. The Chargers can still make the playoffs if they win and a few other teams lose. That right there will be why Cooper won’t make an impact this week, as the Chargers defense is going to be sure to make him a non-factor.

Perhaps year three was just a big step back for Cooper, as he won’t have over 1,000 yards receiving for the first time in his career.
