With the resurgence of Jimmy Garoppolo in San Francisco, avoiding having the Rams as your starting defense this week is probably for the best. The 49ers are actually good on offense now and they put up over 40 points on the very good Jacksonville defense a week ago.

The Rams still have a lot to play for, but I don’t like their chances of getting a lot of points for their owners this week. They might get a sack or two and maybe pick off Garoppolo once or twice, but the Niners have looked like an entirely different team these past few weeks.

In a clutch situation for your fantasy team, I would not recommend having LA’s defense as your starting unit. I was wrong on Jimmy G once this season and I’ll be damned if I pick against him again.
