Fantasy football is likely over in the majority of leagues, but some leagues do play a decisive week 17. If so, welcome to the championship round!

Playing fantasy football in week 17 seems a little silly to me, as a lot of the contending teams bench their starters and let the younger guys have some time in the starting role. This makes fantasy football difficult if you play all the way through week 17.

For instance, if someone had Todd Gurley on their team all season long, they might now be looking at a situation where they have to find a replacement for him in the biggest game of the season. Gurley isn’t injured or on a bye, but his team is just sitting him due to the Rams already being content with their standing in the postseason.

With so many key guys likely not suiting up this week, I tried to tread lightly here with my start and sit picks. With two days to go until the games begin, be sure to double check your roster and make sure there aren’t any “last minute surprises”.

Before we dive in, let’s check out my hit and miss from last week’s picks.

LEIGH’S HIT OF THE WEEK – SITTING DOUG MARTIN

To be honest, my best advice last week came when I suggested who to sit. Doug Martin only had six carries for seven yards last week and continued to be one of the biggest disappointments in fantasy football this year.

LEIGH’S MISS OF THE WEEK – SITTING JIMMY GAROPPOLO

Not many of my starts last week made a ton of noise, but recommending people sit Jimmy Garoppolo was downright bad advice. He’s one of the rising stars at the quarterback position in his few stats with San Francisco.

Let’s get to the final Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em of 2017!
