The Kansas City Chiefs clinched the AFC West after taking down the Miami Dolphins by a score of 29-13 at Arrowhead Stadium on Christmas Eve. What was good, bad, and ugly in this game?

We did it! The Kansas City Chiefs will be representing the AFC West in the playoffs, thanks to a big victory on Sunday afternoon against the Dolphins. It wasn’t a perfect win, but it was enough to get the Chiefs the division title and put them in the playoffs for the third straight year.

For the most part, the Chiefs controlled this game from the very beginning. Miami never led, but at times it did look like they could make a splash in this game. The Chiefs defense, despite giving up some big time plays, were able to force some turnovers and the offense had the ball for 15 minutes longer than the Dolphins’ offense did.

All in all, it was a good win, but not everything went according to plan. Let’s take a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly from the regular season home finale.

GOOD: MARCUS PETERS

Marcus Peters has gotten a lot of crap from fans this season, but he’s been a force to be reckoned with these past two weeks. Peters had two picks off of Philip Rivers last week and on Christmas Eve, forced a big fumble against the Dolphins.

Jarvis Landry had converted a first down on Miami’s first offensive possession, but after Derrick Johnson hit Landry, Peters was able to grab the football in the air. It was like watching last year’s defense in action, as they gave up a first down, but made the opposition pay for it in the end.

Peters was suspended by Andy Reid and company two weeks ago, but ever since he returned to the lineup, he’s been one of the best players on defense. Hopefully he can keep this momentum up in the playoffs.
