Kansas City Chiefs: A timeline of Albert Wilson’s increasing contributions
By Kyle Hull
2017 – Mr. Highlight Reel
Wilson easily has one of the most exciting highlight reels for the Chiefs, in the 2017 season. His tip-catch against the Raiders, his clutch catch against the Redskins, the catch of the year canidate against the Raiders in week 14, and of course – the best 0-yard reception the NFL has ever seen.
Wilson’s colorful 2017 season is defined by his already three touchdown season, which is a career best, with 29 receptions for 371 yards. Not to mention the season is not quite over.
The highlights listed above are a must-watch, if you have not watched them already. The heads-up plays are what make Wilson so special to the organization.
Obviously, he does not have eye-popping stats of a franchise wide receiver, but Wilson is still vital to the Chiefs offense. He does the things not many players will do, because at the end of the day, Wilson just plays the game of football.
The 2017 season is not over, so expect Wilson to continue his great year. Wilson should be back next season, if Veach decides to keep him around with his improbable role that transitioned into a much-needed contributor.
