K-State Football Recruiting
Top Three Targets
ESPN has the K-State football program currently with 23 offers on the table to 4-star recruits. Of those 23 players, only four remain uncommitted, and none are set to go to Kansas State. Of the players left on the Wildcats board, these are the top three:

Jaylen Waddle – WR – Bellaire, TX (****): It’s rare for K-State to be in the mix for a big time recruit like Jaylen Waddle. Ranked as the #7 receiver by 247, and #12 by ESPN, Waddle has offers from almost every major program in the country. It would be a major steal for the Wildcats to land Waddle with all the attention he’s gotten.
Michael Thompson – DT/OT – St Louis, MO (****): Michael Thompson would be a huge grab for the K-State offensive or defensive lines. A recruit like this is very coveted because of his versatility. Thompson could be a difference maker on either side of the ball, and KSU is definitely in need of that.
Mario Goodrich – CB – Lee’s Summit, MO (****): Maybe the top local talent that K-State could target, Mario Goodrich has a very high ceiling. Goodrich has all the physical traits you want in a cornerback, along with some very impressive ball skills. He is a potential star in the making, and a very plausible Wildcats target.
We’ll have to wait and see how aggressive the K-State football program gets over the next few days. They have to know that their top targets won’t be waiting around for long. KSU desperately needs to get some more talent signed onto the program. Right now their recruiting class is less than impressive.
