On the other side of the ball, the Kansas City Chiefs need their pass rush to get after Philip Rivers. This is nothing new to Chiefs fans. It’s how we have beaten Rivers time after time. Make him uncomfortable and the mistakes will come. The responsibility of making the quarterback uncomfortable starts with Justin Houston.

It hasn’t been the dominant season we all hoped for from Justin Houston, but it has been solid. During the Chiefs stretch of bad games, Houston was one of the few players who stood out as playing well. Kansas City needs him to step it up this week and be dominant though.
If the Kansas City pass rush can disrupt Philip Rivers, then everything else should fall in line. In his last four games against Rivers, Justin Houston has sacked the Chargers quarterback six times. That includes a key sack in their last meeting earlier this year.
