D. . . . OFFENSIVE LINE

The reason I didn’t give the offensive line a failing grade was because they FINALLY helped create running lanes for Kareem Hunt and that was the difference in this game for sure. Other than that, the offensive line was not good.

Mitch Morse was out, but Zach Fulton did okay there when it came to helping out Hunt in the run game. The line should be playing better, especially when you consider that the Chiefs shelled out a lot of money to Eric Fisher, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, and Mitchell Schwartz. They have to start playing better.

Alex Smith was sacked four times and was getting pressured constantly. This Oakland pass defense isn’t a good unit, so it shouldn’t have been this easy for them. Bruce Irvin ate Smith for lunch, sacking him twice, and Khalil Mack had a big sack too that took the Chiefs back to the 20 yard line on a third and goal.

Time for the offensive line to start protecting the quarterback. That is their job after all.
