EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – NOVEMBER 19: Running Back Kareem Hunt /

#4 Maybe Kareem Hunt is the Problem

If I told you that Kareem Hunt has not scored a touchdown since week 3 would you believe me? Hunt has been completely ineffective since week 7 against the Raiders. Hunt was torching defenses and setting records his first few weeks in the league, he has done virtually nothing since.

His best performance of late was against the Giants in a forgettable 12-9 loss where he managed to compile just 73 yards on 18 carries. The Chiefs will need to run the ball effectively against the Raiders, albeit by Hunt or by committee. Charcandrick West has seen little action all season long and might be a welcome relief in the backfield for Chiefs fans. Akeem Hunt has been relegated to kick and punt returning duties most of the season but he might be another option in the backfield as well.

I would not be surprised to see Kareem Hunt find himself again, and have another breakout game against the Raiders this weekend. He will need to rush for at least 80 yards and find the end zone once or twice if the Chiefs are going to stay atop the AFC West. He seems more likely to catch a screen pass for a touchdown at this point, but the Chiefs will take whatever productivity they can get out of Hunt.
