Mizzou basketball is hoping to become a perennial contender in the SEC under Cuonzo Martin. Will Martin someday join the list of best MU head coaches?

While Mizzou basketball hit a bump in the road for a few seasons, they appear to be back to competing at a high level. The Tigers left the Big 12 after the 2011-2012 season for the SEC and haven’t made any noise there whatsoever since making that move.

While in the Big 12, however, Missouri was a good basketball squad and they did so behind solid head coaches. Who have been the best in Missouri Tigers history though? That’s what we’re here to determine.

I based these rankings off of a few things. Those “few things” being:

  • Win-Loss Record
  • Tournament Appearances
  • Tenure at Missouri
  • Regular Season Accomplishments

There were a lot of great names to choose from and I narrowed it down to these five men. Let’s take a look at the best head coaches to ever lead Mizzou hoops!
