Say whaaaaat?! Sit the Seahawks defense? Are you serious? Why yes… Yes, I am.
You see… This week, the Seahawks will host the Philadelphia Eagles who have a legitimate MVP candidate leading the way for them at quarterback. Carson Wentz alone is reason enough to bench whatever defense is facing him. The guy is good. Real good.
Another reason to consider benching the Legion of Boom this week is that they are dealing with injuries in their secondary. Richard Sherman is the main one, of course, and he makes a huge difference to teams facing the Seahawks.
With a surging offense coming into town and a beat up secondary at the helm, I wouldn’t trust the Seahawks defense to make much noise this week. The 12th Man might not be making a lot of noise either.
