On Football Night in America, former NFL safety Rodney Harrison was not pleased with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s attitude after the Bills loss.

Rodney Harrison has always been full of hot takes during Football Night in America (the pre-show to Sunday Night Football) and this week he came after Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs. Harrison believed that Kelce was pouting after Alex Smith threw an interception, which essentially sealed the win for Buffalo.

Smith threw an interception and Kelce was seen throwing his hands up in the air in frustration and walking in the other direction. The initial reaction was clearly frustration, but what was Kelce supposed to do after the interception took place?

Kelce was on the other side of the field when the interception happened. There’s no way he would have been able to make a play on TreDavious White.

"“He’s the captain of this team, and this is just absolute terrible effort,” Harrison said. “When things are going great, he’s dancing, he’s partying. But as soon as he hits a little adversity, he pouts. The game is on the line — hustle, get back, you are the captain of this team. If I’m in that locker room, I’d would go to him and say, ‘If you’re going to be captain of the team, you have to be able to lead, and you lead with effort.’More from Kansas City ChiefsHow to Bet on the Chiefs vs. Cardinals in NFL Preseason Week 2The 3 Most Intriguing Games on the Chiefs’ ScheduleDraftKings + FanDuel Kansas Promos: INSTANT $150 Bonus Plus Two Chances to Win!Fan-Favorite Locks Up Chiefs Roster Spot With Stellar Preseason PerformanceDraftKings NFL Kansas Promo: Bet $5 on Chiefs vs. Saints, Win $150 Bonus!"

This losing streak hasn’t been kind to the Chiefs or to their players. The guys on 610 Sports’ “Fescoe in the Morning” mentioned on Monday that neither Kelce or Marcus Peters hung around the locker room after the game for interviews. Both bolted and that’s a sign of a broken team.

I do have to agree with Harrison on one thing though… Kelce doesn’t handle adversity very well. He talks the talk and while he usually walks the walk, when something doesn’t go Kelce’s way, he pouts.

Kelce gets personal foul penalties for doing stupid stuff and then acts confused as to why. Kelce is a good player, but when things are going poorly, he isn’t the best teammate, or at least not recently. When the team is winning, however, he’s a ball of energy and the life of the party.

None of the Chiefs players are happy with the way things are going, but the rest of them aren’t throwing hissy fits. Perhaps Kelce was mad because he feels like he could make even more noise with a different quarterback. Maybe he’s ready for the transition to Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City.

Once the Chiefs start winning, these bad attitudes will go out the window, but of course the fans are beginning to question if another win will come this season. Until the next win comes, however, these accusations are going to keep be directed in Kelce’s direction, unless he bucks up and acts like a leader during the tough times.
