REASONS TO BE THANKFUL – CARLOS BELTRAN FINALLY WON A TITLE

For seven years, KC Royals fans had the pleasure of watching Carlos Beltran develop in the major leagues. During his time as a Royal, Beltran had a slash line of .287/.352/.483 with 123 home runs and 516 RBI. He truly was one of a kind.

Beltran eventually was traded to the Astros and from there jumped from team to team. In total, Beltran played with seven different teams and until 2017, had zero World Series titles to show for it.

When the 2017 World Series rolled around and Carlos Beltran got to be a part of it, it was tough for Royals fans not to pull for him. Beltran and the Astros won the World Series in seven games and the former Royal broke down in tears on the field afterwards.

It was great to see Beltran finally get a championship and he announced after the win that he’d be retiring from Major League Baseball. What a way to go out!

Hopefully when Beltran makes it to the Hall of Fame, he’ll be donning a Royals cap.
