REASONS TO BE THANKFUL – ERIC BERRY

Every team needs an anchor on their team. The guy the young players look up to, who represents his team on, and off of the field – the guy everybody loves.

Eric Berry was drafted by the Chiefs in the 2010 NFL Draft, the fifth overall pick. He is the type of talent that any team is lucky to have. His loyalty to Kansas City, his determination to never give up, and his love for the game shape Berry into one of the most-loved players in Chiefs football history.

Once the terrible report released to the public that Berry was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, the unfathomable news hit Chiefs Kingdom hard, as a fan-favorite’s life was on the line. Football became less important, and all of the focus was shifted on hoping, and praying Berry would win this battle.

Have you seen the way Berry plays football? Of course Berry won the battle, I mean, this guy is a fighter. Mark my words when I say this – “There is no one like Eric Berry”. His status on the field this season may be different due to his injury, but his status from a character standpoint has stayed exactly the same.

There is no hidden secret that Berry will come back stronger next season, and display his talents on the field, once again. Berry is the best safety in the NFL, the highest paid safety in the NFL, and one of the most loved in Kansas City.
