C. . . . DEFENSE

The Chiefs defense actually did okay, which was a welcomed sight. It had been a sore spot for the team over the past month, but they held their own for the most part .

The reason I gave the Chiefs defense a C was because of breaking big time in overtime. They allowed that Giants receiver to come down with that reception and that gave New York the chance to kick the extra point.

The Chiefs had zero pass rush on Eli Manning, not sacking him once. The pass rush is becoming more and more of a glaring issue and it’s time to wonder if Justin Houston is the same player he once was. Houston hasn’t made much of an impact at all recently.

Phillip Gaines should never be allowed on the gridiron. He gave up that big play in overtime that basically gave the Giants the win. The defense kept Kansas City in this one, but they also blew it when the time came for them to step up at the highest level.
