SIT ‘EM

player. 44. . Quarterback. Falcons. Matt Ryan. 1

Matt Ryan has been listed in the “Sit ‘Em” category more than the “Start ‘Em” category this year and there’s a good reason for that. The easiest is that Ryan just isn’t as good this year.

We’re not even a year removed from Ryan’s MVP season in which his Birds got to the Super Bowl, but he is struggling in 2017. He’s already thrown more interceptions this year (eight) in nine games than he did all of last year (seven) and his offense isn’t clicking in the same way that they were in 2016.

This week, despite no Richard Sherman in Seattle, the Seahawks still have one of the best defenses in the league. The Legion of Boom is no slouch and with Ryan already having issues, this is not a good match-up for him.

The Seahawks will be a tough opponent for Ryan and his Falcons and if you have anyone else to play in place of him, it might be a good idea to do so this week.
