Kansas City Chiefs: Mid Season Gradecards
By Chris Taylor
Wide Receiver: C-
Tyreek Hill is the product of grading the class on a curve. He is clearly the exception to the poor grade. Hill has constantly reminded us at how good he is while on his way to solidifying his role as a true number one receiver.
Hill’s best game came against the Patriots as well. He caught seven passes on eight targets for 133 yards and a touchdown. Including a 75 yard touchdown score showing his speed and proving his value.
Three of Tyreek Hill’s touchdowns are catches of over 56 yards. Hill has only broken 100 yards twice, but he is still well on his way to 1,000 yards on the season. Totals of 40 catches for 617 yards and four touchdowns are impressive stats for a Chiefs receiver historically.
Tyreek has seen his production fall of late too, only grabbing four catches out of ten targets in the last two games.
Albert Wilson comes in second on the squad with 17 catches for 221 yards and two scores. Demarcus Robinson and DeAnthony Thomas combined for 22 catches and 259 yards with two scores, both belonging to Thomas.
Depth was a concern before the season, and after Chris Conley went down it became even more so of an issue. The Chiefs receiver group is forgettable after Hill, causing more questions than solutions. The Chiefs are not in danger of failing as long as Hill continues to come to class.
