KC Chiefs: Running backs drafted before Kareem Hunt in 2017 NFL Draft
By Kyle Hull
ALVIN KAMARA – New Orleans Saints
Alvin Kamara, drafted in the early third round was the final running back to be drafted, before Kareem Hunt was off the board. The New Orleans Saints drafted a small, but mighty running back in the 2017 draft.
Kamara was a name many Chiefs fans wanted to see in a Chiefs uniform. Kamara had a great college career for the Volunteers of Tennessee, which means he should do the same in the NFL.
Kamara has ran the ball 52 times for the Saints, and produced 311 total yards, and three touchdowns. The numbers are not the biggest, but I fully expect Kamara to be a decent player in New Orleans.
Kamara is splitting carries with Mark Ingram and the two have become quite the dynamic duo. After Kamara fumbled against the Buccaneers last Sunday, the Saints kept giving him the football and he gashed that Bucs D.
He’s a strong candidate for Rookie of the Year, alongside Kareem Hunt, of course.
