The difference is clear when the Packers don’t have Aaron Rodgers and that’s evident when looking at Jordy Nelson‘s stats over these last few games. On Monday night, Nelson had just 35 yards receiving off of four receptions.
It’s time for owners to consider keeping Nelson on the bench. It’s nothing against the former Kansas State great, but more of a knock on his quarterback. Brett Hundley isn’t Aaron Rodgers and it’s not even close.
Nelson hasn’t found the end zone since week five against the Cowboys and isn’t a top wide receiver without Rodgers at the helm. Throw all of this on top of the fact that the Packers are facing the Bears, a REALLY good defense, and that is a solid recipe for not playing Nelson this week.
It might be smart to keep Jordy Nelson on the bench for the duration of the season. Hundley isn’t good and without Rodgers, the Packers are pretty much the 49ers.
