In random fashion, former Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson gave me his insight on his number 27 buddy Kareem Hunt, as well as his insight on the 2017 Chiefs team, via twitter.

Good things tend to happen when the Kansas City Chiefs have a ball carrier in the backfield wearing the number 27 across their jersey.

Larry Johnson the first number 27, retired following the 2011 season after a short run with the Miami Dolphins. Little production came about for Johnson in Miami, for the simple fact that he gave his all for the Chiefs a few years prior.

In his seven seasons as a Chief, Johnson started 75 games with 1,427 rushing attempts totaling in 6,223 total yards, and 61 touchdowns.

From 2003 to 2009, Johnson flat-out poured his heart out for the team. Even when the team was not one to be considered competitive, Johnson was still playing as hard as possible.

A fan favorite by many is now living the life as a retired NFL star. However, just because Johnson no longer plays for the Chiefs, does not mean he does not pay attention to his former squad. Johnson still keeps an avid eye on the team, and cheers them on in every way possible.

Recently, Johnson gave me his opinion on the Chiefs team as a whole, and as well as his number doppelgänger in the backfield.  Johnson and I crossed paths via twitter, during one of my check-ups on my Chiefs fan page, ran by myself.

Johnson replied to one of my tweets discussing the NFL’s logic behind the belief of the Cowboys being the best team in the NFL.

When I noticed he answered me, I took advantage. I was truly curious to hear some insight from a former Chief star, and knew I had the chance right then.
