Five Intriguing Players Yet to Hit Potential – Number 4: Tanoh Kpassagnon

Perhaps the most difficult part in writing this article was to come up with a way to put rookie Tanoh Kpassagnon into a single phrase, as Kpassagnon could be described in many, many ways. What I eventually came with, perfectly suits Kpsassagnon.

Insert a drumroll here for me here. I finally figured it out – Tanoh Kpassagnon is a monster in the making. Perhaps the determination of binge watching Netflix’s hit show Stranger Thingsor Kpassagnon is indeed actually a monster, the term “monster” eventually stuck to my brain like Marcus Peters to his receivers. Kpassagnon genetic frame is simply unbelievable.

Standing 6’7”, and 290 pounds, Kpassagnon is currently in the process of polishing his game to become the most intimidating edge-rusher in the NFL.

When will the Chiefs unleash Kpassagnon?

The question that looms the most involving Kpassagnon is: Why is he not playing? Well, he is indeed a second round pick – but with a frame such as his, and an inconsistent career at Villanova, simply proves that Kpassaganon needs work.

Kpassagnon is incredibly raw. Incredibly raw to the point where he simply is not ready. Having projects is not a bad thing, nor is it a wasted pick. The Chiefs have a stellar team as it is, and it appears Kpassagnon was brought to Kansas City for more of an investment for the future, which I am totally fine with.

Let’s trust the Chiefs to unleash Kpassagnon at the most opportune time for the Chiefs defense.

There could be some arguments regarding Kpassagnon. One of those arguments could be “KC needs edge rushers desperately, why not him?” I would love to answer that, but I simply am not in the mind of defensive coordinator Bob Sutton, and the franchise’s decision making.

Let’s trust the Chiefs to unleash Kpassagnon at the most opportune time for the Chiefs defense, and the best time for himself. The clock is ticking, as each second we all get closer to the year of Kpassagnon.

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock…
