THE UGLY

Kliff Kingsbury

My Wife said that Kingsbury should never be in the ugly section, which may be worth a follow-up conversation, but I digress. Texas Tech blew a game where they held a 99.1% chance to win. They lost, at home, with bowl eligibility on the line. The Red Raiders are now tied (!) with Baylor for second-to-last in the Big12. For a coach who entered the season on the hot seat, this is not ideal.

For K-State fans, this game will remind them of Paul Rhodes, who managed to lose in nearly impossible fashion to K-State that eventually cost him his job. I suspect K-State sealed the fate on Kingsbury as well.

Kolin Hill

While I put another Texas Tech player in the “bad” column as a compliment, Hill earned this for a play that I hope gets another look from the Big12 Conference. Hill is the player who knocked out Alex Delton with one of the dirtier and unnecessary targeting penalties I’ve seen. He deserves to sit another game
