ROYALS FREE AGENTS THIS WINTER – PETER MOYLAN

Royals fans love Peter Moylan and out of everyone in this group, he’ll probably be the easiest free agent to keep in town. Moylan just finished his second season pitching out of the bullpen for the Royals and he fared well.

Moylan ended his 2017 season with a 3.49 ERA and 1.096 WHIP in 59.1 innings thrown. The Australian pitcher appeared in 79 games, usually coming in just to get a right-handed batter out.

The Royals re-signed Moylan during Spring Training last year and it wouldn’t be surprising to see that happen again this year, if not sooner. He’d be a cheap option to stash in the bullpen and has experience there for the team.

A big con, however, is that Moylan will turn 39 in December. That could play out in KC’s favor though, as other teams might not be looking to sign him due to his age.
