SIT ‘EM

3. player. 35. . Wide Receiver. Titans. Rishard Matthews

Initially I had Pierre Garcon in this spot, but it was announced late on Thursday that the 49ers wideout was placed on injured reserve. I called an audible to remove Garcon and replaced him with Rishard Matthews, who is also someone who owners should keep on the bench this week.

For one, Matthews hasn’t been all that productive recently. He hasn’t found the end zone since week three and has yet to go over 100 yards this season. The biggest game he had was in week three against the Seahawks when he scored his lone touchdown and had over 80 yards on the afternoon.

The Titans were a popular pick to win the AFC South this year and this is a big game for them. They’ll host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, who is another team that is desperate for a win. They’re also pretty good at stopping prime receivers.

Oh, not to mention that rookie Corey Davis is hopefully returning to action this week. That will take targets away from Matthews. Not much going his way for this week’s match-up.
