Fantasy Football 2017: Start Em, Sit Em for Week 9
SIT ‘EM
LeGarrette Blount hasn’t been all that great this season with the Eagles, but now that Philadelphia has traded for Jay Ajayi, the chances of Blount having big games decreased tremendously. Not only are the odds stacked against Blount there, but the Eagles play Denver this week and that defense is for real.
The Broncos have prevented the likes of Melvin Gordon (the first time), Ezekiel Elliott, and Kareem Hunt from having big games. With Ajayi just getting the call to Philly, Blount will still get a decent amount of carries, but he’s not going to be the starting running back there in what is now a crowded backfield.
The match-up itself isn’t favorable and Blount just hasn’t had that burst this year. He’s only recorded three total touchdowns this year and hasn’t been as explosive as he was in New England the past few seasons.
Not much is going in Blount’s favor for this week or potentially for the rest of the season as well.
