Fantasy Football 2017: Start Em, Sit Em for Week 9
START ‘EM
No tight ends outside of the obvious ones really stand out this week, but Jared Cook is someone who could be worth slotting in as your starting tight end. Cook’s Raiders will head to Miami in what should be a game where Cook gets some targets.
Targets haven’t been an issue for Cook, but he’s still not necessarily a sexy option for fantasy football. His best game came two weeks ago against the Chiefs where he had his first (and only to this point) 100+ yard performance this season.
The Dolphins, despite getting blown out last week, held Ravens tight end Benjamin Watson to just two catches for six yards. One of those two catches, however, was for a touchdown. That bodes well for those of you wanting to start Cook this week. The yards might not be there, but he could find the end zone at least once.
Derek Carr targeted his tight end five times last week in Buffalo and connected on four of those passes for 57 yards. Jared Cook should get some points on this Miami defense.
