Fantasy Football 2017: Start Em, Sit Em for Week 9
Fantasy football owners should know by now whether they’re poised for a playoff run or destined to be on the outside looking in. What does week nine have in store for us?
It’s time for another week of fantasy football and we’re hitting the halfway mark of the NFL season. It seems just like yesterday that week one was kicking off yet here we are… Week nine and about to hit the home stretch of games.
There will be some great games on the schedule this weekend including what should be an offensive shootout between the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys down in Arlington, Texas. That is arguably the best game of the week and there will definitely be some players to watch for when it comes to your fantasy squad.
Before we get into the Starts and Sits of the week, let’s take a look at my biggest hit and miss from a week ago.
LEIGH’S HIT OF THE WEEK – STARTING RUSSELL WILSON
Russell Wilson was off the charts last week, throwing for 452 yards and four touchdowns in Seattle’s massive win over the Houston Texans. Any quarterback facing the Texans appears to be a safe play at this point, as their defense has dropped off tremendously.
LEIGH’S MISS OF THE WEEK – SITTING BEN ROETHLISBERGER
It’s bad enough that I’m a Chiefs fan and Ben Roethlisberger always beats my team, but now he’s proving to be one of the most confusing quarterbacks in fantasy football. I recommended sitting him last week against the Lions and he ended up throwing for over 300 yards and a touchdown in the Steeler’s Sunday night win.
TEAMS ON BYES THIS WEEK: CHICAGO, CLEVELAND, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS, MINNESOTA, NEW ENGLAND, PITTSBURGH
Six teams are off this week, so hopefully these Starts and Sits will help you out when filling those empty spots on your roster.
