. DEFENSE AS A WHOLE. B. .

The reason the defense gets a B is due to what we’ll see on the next slide, BUT the unit did what they were supposed to do against the Broncos: Make them look like Trevor Siemian was leading their team. On Denver’s second possession, Jamaal Charles fumbled the football and Marcus Peters scooped it up and took it to the house for a score.

Two possessions later, Siemian threw a football right at Marcus Peters. Siemian would also “connect” with Ron Parker and Kenneth Acker of all people to give him three total picks on the night.

Having Steven Nelson back made a difference, as Siemian went his way early, but threw incomplete passes. Phillip Gaines should hopefully not be seeing time on the field again this season, at least not on the majority of plays.

The pass rush returned to form too, as Justin Houston was brilliant. Houston had two sacks while Bennie Logan and Rakeem Nunez-Roches both notched half a sack. BIG MACS FOR SACKS WOOOO!
